Discover how the Big Buddy Freddie the Frog plush toy helps soothe your baby to sleep. Soft faux fur and weighted hands offer comfort and security.
Quick Answer
Yes, the Big Buddy Freddie the Frog is designed as a comforting plush toy that can help your baby settle into sleep, thanks to its soft texture and weighted hands and feet.
Why Weighted Hands and Feet Matter for Sleep
The gently weighted hands and feet of Freddie the Frog provide a subtle, calming pressure similar to a gentle hug. This can help reduce the startle reflex and promote a sense of security, making it easier for your baby to fall and stay asleep.
Safety First: AAP Recommendations
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping soft objects out of the crib for the first year to reduce the risk of SIDS. Freddie the Frog is best used during supervised awake time or as a companion during cuddle sessions. Always place your baby on their back to sleep on a firm, flat surface without any loose items.
